Rachel posted this a while ago, and I was kind of amused by my results, so I thought I'd post it. I'm not sure whether or not this is the one where you're meant to add a book of your own at the end, but some of the books on this list are so abysmal - Mitch Albom, for pete's sake? - that I thought it would really be a good idea. You will find that I tend to not like trendy commercial fiction or books about hardscrabble living.

Goodness, you've definitely read your share of famous novels. That's an amazing accomplishment. It's weird, but I never thought I read that many greatly known books, but after reading over the list, I noticed that I have. *arm pump! Woo!

Yaaaaay!
I'm home most of the time, and I read a lot, but I'd probably be reading more if TV and the internet didn't distract me so much. I love certain tv shows but I notice that life feels warmer without having the tv on all the time, and in houses that don't have one or that keep it hidden. I do read a lot of stuff that is just for entertainment, definitely not up to classic novel status, but I don't stick with much of anything I think is *bad*.
My favorite "classic books" reading list is The New Lifetime Reading Plan - I haven't read anything near all the books on it, but I've liked everything I've read and would reread some of them. It's the one I recommend to people and the book I sometimes buy for bookwormy culture-vulture friends.
